Environmental Health and Safety Assistant

Morgan State University is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Assistant in Baltimore, MD. Responsibilities include collecting safety data, conducting inspections, maintaining compliance records, participating in incident investigations, and assisting with safety training materials. This is a full-time position that does not require a degree.
Duties & Responsibilities: Collect environmental and safety data through sampling, observation, and measurement. Assist with workplace safety inspections and environmental audits, accurately documenting findings. Support the preparation and maintenance of safety and compliance records, reports, and documentation. Participate in incident investigations by gathering information and assisting with follow-up actions. Help develop, update, and deliver safety training materials and communications. Assist with regulatory compliance activities, such as updating logs, permits, and compliance checklists.
