Job Description
CIM Group is seeking a Project Developer for Terreva Renewables in Atlanta, GA. The role involves managing project details from post-origination to construction, coordinating with team members and external consultants, and preparing reports on project performance. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of project management experience. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with some travel expected (25-30%).
*ABOUT TERREVA RENEWABLES:**
Terreva Renewables is an industry-leading developer, owner, and operator of renewable natural gas (RNG) projects, headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia. The company leverages technology to capture methane gas from landfills and convert it to renewable natural gas. Its senior management team has over 40 years of collective experience developing RNG projects, as well as extensive additional experience in landfill gas-to-electricity projects, gas collection and control systems, and midstream oil and gas operations. Terreva’s current portfolio is comprised of seven assets – approximately 20,000 scfm of raw landfill gas flow and 3.5 million MMBtu’s per year of RNG production (2025E) – in operation and construction across North America. Terreva is a portfolio company under the management of CIM Group, LLC.
POSITION PURPOSE:**
The Project Developer is responsible for managing the contractual and technical details of project opportunities post-origination through financial closing and the beginning of construction. This includes interacting with multiple team members, customers, consultants, and partners to oversee project contracting, permitting, budgeting, and scheduling to meet specific deadlines and financial targets.
The Project
Developer is responsible for tracking the development process performance of several projects and prepare reports to management on same.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Manage and coordinate multiple workstreams on several projects to ensure they stay on schedule and budgetOrganize and plan project development tasks and schedulesFacilitate and encourage collaboration across departments to ensure projects are developed successfullyDelegate work to team members based on skills and expertiseInterface with outside consultants for items such as: air permitting, engineering design, legal services, etc.Prepare, manage, optimize, and report on project schedules and budgetsCreate presentations to communicate project status to key internal and external stakeholdersEDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: (including certification, licenses, etc.)Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or equivalent fieldMinimum 5 years’ experience in project/program development/management or equivalent fieldExperience working with multiple team members within a matrix environmentExperience with large capital project development, management, and constructionKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Ability to organize, perform and prioritize various functions to meet deadlines with minimal supervisionStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well verbally and in writingDetail-orientedEffective technical/analytical skillsAbility to work independently, make sound decisions and know when to elevate issuesDeadline-driven and ability to manage multiple tasks across several projectsAbility to address and resolve complex issues as they ariseAbility to apply common-sense understanding to solve practical problems and quickly learn new skillsProficiency with Microsoft Office suite of productsAvailable to travel domestically 25-30% of the time*Applicants with disabilities may be entitled to reasonable accommodation under the terms of the Americans with Disabilities Act and certain state or local laws.
