Job Description
The Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education is hiring a Summer Office Assistant for a part-time, in-person position at the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point. The role involves up to 15 hours per week, focusing on hands-on tasks like managing educational kits and data entry. Candidates must be current students at the University of Wisconsin and meet specific requirements, including passing a background check and lifting 50 lbs.
## Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education Summer Office Assistant
This is a Student Hourly position (Job Profile: Student Help) based in-person in the Wisconsin Center for Environmental Education (WCEE) office, located in SSC 201 on the UW
- Stevens Point campus. Current Students: If you are currently employed or enrolled as a student at any of the Universities of Wisconsin, log in to Workday to apply through the internal application process.
The appointment is for up to 15 hours a week. Specific days and times can be flexible, provided they fall within 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Monday through Friday. Duties are practical and hands-on; typical work includes checking in educational kits when returned by patrons, updating and replacing kit materials, assisting with putting together new kits, updating and entering data in our online database, photocopying, scanning, and shredding.
Salary information is recorded as salary_min 66000 and salary_max 66000 (yearly). An applicant should note these figures are the salary values associated with the posting.
### What we expect from you
You must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check. Other specific requirements include: Must be able to lift 50 lbs, HIGH attention to detail, ability to work efficiently and effectively on a variety of tasks, knowledge of Microsoft (Excel and Word) and Adobe Acrobat software. The position is in-person at SSC 201 and will require hands-on handling of kit materials and equipment.
A preferred candidate is a student in the College of Natural Resources with interest in environmental education programs for educators throughout Wisconsin.
