Web Master | Institute for Sustainable Development (SID)

The Institute for Sustainable Development (SID) is seeking a Web Master in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role involves designing and developing web pages, monitoring website performance, conducting staff training, and providing IT support. The contract lasts one year with potential for extension. Main Duties and Responsibilities:
- Confer with appropriate individuals to gain understanding of website intent, content, and structure
- Design web pages, develop site layout, create navigation features, and integrate graphics and multimedia content
- Develop sites with consistent look and feel; ensure sites are intuitive to use and contain uniform fonts, icons, images and layouts
- Monitor and analyze website traffic; prepare reports or reporting systems that provide website “hit” and utilization feedback
- Monitor web server and website performance; constantly seek efficiencies to improve performance
- Upgrade/update information as required
- Conduct on job training for one staff as assistant
- Develop and manage a Local Area Network (LAN) for staff
- Respond to IT support needs of staff and visitors
- Other duties as assigned
