Ensure compliance, prevent incidents, and foster a culture of safety.We're Hiring: Safety Officer!Key Responsibilities:Site Safety Management:Develop and implement HSE management plans tailored to solar, wind, and PSS project requirements, ensuring compliance with safety protocols.Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and establish preventive measures to reduce risks on project sites.Monitor site activities, enforce safety rules, and ensure that all personnel are adhering to safety standards and procedures.Material Safety Inspection:Inspect materials and equipment arriving on-site, verifying their compliance with safety regulations, certifications, and project specifications.Confirm that safety-related materials (e.g., PPE, grounding systems, fire extinguishers) meet required safety standards and are available in sufficient quantities.Document any material safety issues, manage corrective actions with suppliers, and coordinate safe handling and storage of materials.Safety Training and Education:Conduct safety orientation and training for all site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors, on project-specific safety protocols, PPE usage, and emergency procedures.Lead periodic safety drills (e.g., fire drills, evacuation simulations) and toolbox talks to reinforce safe work practices.Educate site personnel on hazard identification, proper use of safety equipment, and safe handling of project materials.Accident Prevention and Response:Proactively identify unsafe conditions and practices, implement corrective measures, and escalate any serious safety concerns to project management.Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.Maintain emergency response plans, coordinate with local emergency services, and ensure site readiness in case of accidents or natural disasters.Regulatory Compliance and Reporting:Ensure project compliance with OSHA, NEC, IEC, and other relevant safety standards and regulations applicable to solar, wind, and PSS projects.Maintain detailed records of safety inspections, incident reports, and corrective actions, preparing regular safety reports for management and stakeholders.Liaise with regulatory authorities for site inspections, manage compliance audits, and implement any necessary changes to maintain regulatory standards.Continuous Improvement:Analyze safety data and incident trends to improve safety practices and reduce risk across all project sites.Collaborate with project teams to integrate safety into project planning and execution stages, providing input on design and operational adjustments to enhance safety.Promote a safety-first culture, encouraging all site personnel to actively participate in safety initiatives and report unsafe conditions.
