About the opportunity

Join our Waste team as a Waste Resource and Recovery Officer. Youll be at the forefront of developing and managing innovative community waste minimisation and litter prevention education programs.

You will make an impact by
• Developing and managing comprehensive community waste minimisation resource recovery and litter prevention education programs.
• Manage waste related projects and actions as defined by Councils Waste and Resource Recovery Strategy.
• Assisting with the supervision and monitoring contracts for waste education collection and disposal services.
• Creating and implementing promotional and educational activities for waste services.
• Collaborating with state government and stakeholders to align with Recycling Victoria Policy.

What you will bring
• Strong project management skills with experience in community education programs.
• Knowledge of waste collection disposal recycling and waste minimisation methods and relevant legislation applicable to these activities.
• Demonstrated skills qualifications and experience in a relevant waste environmental or education field.
• Excellent communication skills for developing educational materials and liaising with stakeholders.
• Ability to manage contracts and oversee service delivery.
• Strong relationshipbuilding skills with community and stakeholder groups
