About the position

The School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Georgia Tech is seeking a tenure-track faculty member in Ocean and Climate Sciences. This position aims to enhance the department's expertise in ocean and climate sciences through research, teaching, and mentoring. The successful candidate will contribute to the academic community by developing a vibrant research program and teaching undergraduate and graduate courses.

Responsibilities
• Demonstrate an exceptional commitment to the teaching and mentoring of both undergraduate and graduate students.

• Collaborate and connect with other scientists in EAS and other units.

• Build a vibrant, externally funded, and internationally recognized research program that addresses scientific questions of fundamental significance in ocean and climate science.

• Provide high-quality teaching and mentoring of students, while promoting an inclusive work environment; and provide service to the school and the institute.

Requirements
• An earned doctorate in Atmospheric Science, Oceanic Science or a related field is required before start of employment.
