Purpose of the job

To support Nisir Microfinance’s business strategy by ensuring efficient and effective performance of IT projects through overseeing all aspects of IT projects to be completed on time and within specified budgets.

Key responsibilities

>Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, scope, budget, and deliverables.
>Develop and manage detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and risk assessments.
>Manage resources for projects, such as computer equipment and employees.
>Coordinate project team members, developing schedules and assigning individual responsibilities.
>Oversee all stages of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and control, using defined project management tools.
>Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues, implementing solutions to keep projects on track.
>Track project progress and budget, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
>Manage and motivate project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
>Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with business objectives.
>Stay up-to-date on the latest technological advancements and best practices in project management.
>Establish environments and tools required to execute quality assurance to detect software defects.
>Establish quality standards and procedures to be employed throughout software development and IT project implementation processes.
>Coordinate project quality assurance and System Integration and User Acceptance Test teams.
>Monitor and record test progress and results, assessing QA and Test team performance.
>Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
>Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
>Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using open-source tools.
>Perform manual and automated testing.
>Document test cases.
>Code automated tests.
>Develop standards and procedures to determine product quality and release readiness.
>Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
>Liaise with the software development team to identify system requirements.
>Discover bugs within software.
>Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
>Monitor debugging process results.
>Track quality assurance metrics, such as defect density and open defect counts.
>Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.

Job Requirements

3.1 Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (IT), or related fields.

Experience
3 years of relevant experience for Master’s degree holders or 4 years for Bachelor’s degree holders.
