Job Description
The University of South Australia seeks a Techno-Economic Specialist in Clean Energy Technologies at Professor Level E. The role, based in Adelaide, Australia, involves research collaboration with IMT Atlantique in France. It requires a PhD or equivalent experience, a strong publication record, and successful research collaborations. The position is full-time with a fixed 3-year contract, focusing on enhancing the research profile in clean energy technologies.

About the Role
As a leading expert with an international reputation in research related to techno-economic analysis of clean energy technologies, the Professor will make a distinguished contribution to academic and industry-engaged research projects with the Future Industries Institute in close scientific cooperation with our French partner IMT Atlantique. The Professor will enhance the research profile of FII through the development of a program of high impact and collaborative research, supported by competitive research grant funding. Their areas of focus will include, but not be limited to, techno-economic and life cycle analysis related to emerging clean energy technologies. The appointee shall exemplify an outstanding level of performance and will continue to make major and innovative contributions to research which are recognised nationally and internationally. In particular, the position will involve the development and deepening of scientific cooperation and international collaboration with staff at IMT Atlantique, France in particular and across Europe more generally.
The position is a joint academic appointment between UniSA and French academic partner IMT Atlantique. With French-Australian collaboration important to a broad range of emergent technologies, the new Professor of Clean Energy Technologies will be based at the Mawson Lakes campus in Adelaide but will cooperate intensively with, including visits to, IMT Atlantique in France, fostering staff and student exchange and driving innovation interchange between industry and academia in both countries.

To Be Successful You Will Need
• A PhD qualification or equivalent industry experience in the relevant industry sector
• Sustained levels of diversified research income
• Evidence of an ongoing and distinguished track record of high-quality publications which may include industry reports or contributions to policy
• Established significant and productive research collaborations with national and international partners
• Ability to supervise graduate research students at a PhD level
