Job Description

Berkeley Heights Public Schools is seeking a full-time Teacher of Science (AP Environmental) on a tenure track. The role involves following the district curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment, and maintaining relationships with parents and staff. Candidates must have a New Jersey Instructional Certification in Environmental Sciences, pass a criminal history check, and be U.S. citizens or authorized residents. NJ residency is required within one year of hire.
Reports To

Principal/District Supervisor

Job Goal

To follow the approved district curriculum and establish a class environment that fosters learning and personal growth to help students to develop skills, attitudes and knowledge needed to provide a good foundation for continued education; and to maintain good relationships with parents and other staff members.

Qualifications
• New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level
• (Environmental Sciences)
• Successful Criminal History Clearance.
• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status

Must be NJ resident within one year from date of hire
