Sustainable Landscape Management Professional
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Landscape Management Professional to support our project, Transforming Agricultural Systems and Strengthening Local Economies in high biodiversity areas of India through Sustainable Landscape Management and public-private finance. As a Sustainable Landscape Management Professional, you will play a critical role in transforming agricultural systems and strengthening local economies in high biodiversity areas of India through sustainable landscape management and public-private finance.
Key Responsibilities
The Sustainable Landscape Management Professional will coordinate activities directly with Rainforest Alliance and its project implementation team in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The Sustainable Landscape Management Professional will report to Rainforest Alliance staff and be the key interface between coffee producers in the western and eastern ghats of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh and different key stakeholders, including supply chains that carry their products to market, for ensuring fair share to farmers and their organizations in the value-chain.
Consultancy Objectives and Activities
The consultancy objectives include conducting desk research to identify and collate existing data on Coffee value chain covering production to markets, highlighting any major fluctuations in price index, analyzing the facts, projecting possible business trends to support Farmer groups FPOs in their planning process, and identifying knowledge gaps in Pre-Production, Production, and Post-Harvest in line with regenerative agriculture and RA-SAS. The Sustainable Landscape Management Professional will also develop RA-SAS training module in Kannada in consultation with RA Trainings Vertical and facilitate and organize trainings for Farmers, Farmer Groups through external technical, academic, research institutions, etc. as per project requirements from time to time.
