Sustainability Project Lead

Mars is seeking a Sustainability Project Lead in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, to develop and implement sustainability programs aimed at minimizing resource consumption. Candidates should have a relevant engineering degree and at least 2 years of experience in sustainability projects. Responsibilities include defining strategy, leading teams, and driving project implementation. Job Description:

Develop and implement a sustainability program (SiG) at GDL-Site that allows us to minimize energy, water, and ZWL consumption, establishing solid foundations for continuous and consistent improvement over time.

What are we looking for?
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering in Sustainable Development, Chemical Engineer, Mechanical-Electric Engineer, and Mechatronics Engineer, or closely related scientific or technical disciplines would be required.
• Relevant 2+ years experience in closely related sustainability projects would be required.
• Analysis of data to drive continuous improvement
• Principles of sustainability, developing material and energy balances, software tools like Office, and technical knowledge at the engineering level

What will be your key responsibilities?
• Define & own site SIG strategy, Define KPIs, measure progress.
• Lead local SIG team, Organize local team meetings, report progress to SMT.
• Generate ideas to fuel the Roadmap, Organize SIG workshop/ ideation.
• Plan & forecast: setup roadmap & targets, agree projects and OPEX activities from idea generation, estimate cost/savings.
• Prepare SIG projects (Composite & local), Provide detailed tech solution, cost and savings for project write ups.
• Drive SIG project implementation, Own and track the delivery of all SIG projects.
• Drive Opex agenda through Energy monitoring.
• Contribute to the regional Community.
