Power Production Management is seeking a Solar Technician I in Indiana to enhance solar installation efficiency. Responsibilities include installing solar panels, performing electrical work, and adhering to safety standards. The position is full-time and on-site, with a compensation range of $18-$24 per hour and benefits after a 90-day period.
PPM Solar is looking for a Solar Technician I to join our PPM Field Operations team and enhance our solar installation efficiency and technical expertise. This role requires exceptional technical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety. Our Solar Technicians promote clean energy adoption by executing solar panel installations, electrical work, and system integration with precision and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety guidelines at all times.
• Interpret and execute blueprints, site plans, and PV layouts accurately.
• Install and connect solar panels, racking systems, and mounts securely.
• Install conduit, mount boxes, and perform basic electrical tasks, including pipe bending.
• Apply seals to mounts without drilling, ensuring system integrity.
• Work safely and confidently at heights on ladders, rooftops, and elevated surfaces.
• Maintain and utilize a personal toolset for all tasks.
• Organize and maintain vehicles, tools, and workspaces.
• Foster a positive work environment aligned with PPM Solar’s values and standards.

Qualifications
• 1+ years experience on the roof with solar panel connections
• Proficiency in all qualifications of a Solar Installation Assistant.
• installing racking systems, solar panels, and attachments.
• Navigate rooftops and use ladders, safety harnesses, and PPE safely.
• Attach rails, and manage wiring, by PPM quality standards
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and ability to apply safety standards consistently.
• Ability to read and execute tasks from blueprints, site plans, and PV layouts.
• Conduit installation or basic electrical work.
• Competence in pipe bending and other technical skills.
• Confidence and safety when working at heights.
• Ownership and maintenance of a complete personal toolset.
• Strong problem-solving and independent work capabilities.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and adherence to driving safety requirements.
• Alignment with PPM Solar’s values, emphasizing teamwork, quality, and sustainability.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $18-$24 per hour, based on experience. This position is full-time (40 hours a week) and on-site in our Gainesville office. Compensation will be reassessed based on performance after the first 90 days.
