Solar PV O&M Technician – Commercial

Sharaf DG is seeking a Solar PV O&M Technician in Dubai, responsible for the operation, maintenance, and optimization of commercial solar PV systems. Key duties include preventive maintenance, performance monitoring, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with teams. The role requires managing maintenance schedules and spare parts inventory while preparing technical reports to improve system performance. This is a full-time position based in Dubai.
The Solar PV O&M Engineer is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and performance optimization of grid -tied commercial and industrial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems across Dubai and the wider UAE. The role ensures maximum uptime, energy yield, and safety compliance of all installed PV assets under the company’s O&M portfolio.</span></span>

Key Responsibilities:</span></i></b>

1. Operations & Maintenance</span></b>
</span></p>
• Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance activities for rooftop, ground -mounted, and carport PV installations.</span>
</span></p>
• Monitor plant performance using SCADA or remote monitoring platforms and identify underperformance or faults.</span>
</span></p>
• Conduct troubleshooting, fault diagnosis, and rectification of inverters, string combiner boxes, protection systems, and communication networks.</span>
</span></p>
• Plan and execute scheduled maintenance works with minimal system downtime.</span>
</span></p>
• Manage spare parts inventory and ensure timely procurement for maintenance needs.</span>
</span></p>

2. Performance Monitoring & Reporting</span></b>
</span></p>
• Track daily, weekly, and monthly energy generation and compare against expected performance ratios.</span>
</span></p>
• Prepare technical performance reports and recommend actions for improvement.</span>
</span></p>
• Analyze system performance data and support predictive maintenance planning.</span>
</span></p>

3. Health, Safety, and Compliance</span></b>
</span></p>
• Ensure all maintenance activities are executed in compliance with DEWA, ADDC, and relevant Dubai Municipality safety standards.</span>
</span></p>
• Implement and enforce site -specific safety procedures, including LOTO, PPE usage, and electrical safety practices.</span>
</span></p>
• Maintain documentation related to work permits, safety checks, and risk assessments.</span>
</span></p>

</span></p>
• Coordinate with subcontractors, clients, and internal project teams for O&M activities.</span>
</span></p>
• Supervise site technicians and ensure high -quality workmanship.</span>
</span></p>
• Support commissioning of new projects transitioning to the O&M phase.</span>
</span></p>
