Service Engineer Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer to provide technical support to our customers in laboratories across NSW. The ideal candidate will have experience in IVD Diagnostics and be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
This is an autonomous field role where you will work closely with other departments such as Operations and Commercial. You will enjoy a variety of activities and responsibilities, including customer service calls, scheduled preventative maintenance visits, installations, and product education and training.
Main Responsibilities:
• Provide technical support to ensure customer needs are met in a timely manner.
• Complete all documentation accurately and promptly.
• Manage spare parts efficiently and accurately.
• Install new equipment at customer sites and trade shows.
• Travel locally and internationally for training as required.
Required Skills and Experience:
• Tertiary education in Engineering (Electronics, Biomedical, Mechatronics).
• Broad technical experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, and computer-driven systems.
• Excellent computer skills including a sound understanding of networking.
• Ability to interpret, present, and communicate technical information.
Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Experience in Hematology, Flow Cytometry or Chemistry within a pathology environment.
• Familiarity with the territory and existing customer relationships.
• Scientific understanding of assays and pathology related terminology.
