Job Description
Brindle & Green Environmental Consultants is seeking a Senior Landscape Architect for their Radbourne and Milton Keynes offices. The role involves leading complex projects in residential and commercial sectors, managing teams, and ensuring design quality. Candidates should be self-motivated team players with strong design and project management skills. Hybrid working is considered, and the position offers a salary of £38,000 – £45,000, depending on experience.

With divisions in ecology, landscape, arboriculture, archaeology & heritage, ecological contracting & flood risk & drainage. We are a practice that specialises in the delivery of projects under the planning and development sectors.
Having maintained our position in the market well away from rail, infrastructure, highways and utilities, we sit at the forefront of supporting development projects in the residential, commercial, agricultural diversification, renewables, and special projects sectors across a range of scales and complexities.
We are currently seeking aspiring Landscape Architects and Planners to join our growing team, based at both our offices in Radbourne near Derby and Milton Keynes. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a vibrant, dynamic and fast paced business which is expanding.
We are on the lookout for individuals who are self-motivated team players, but who are happy to work independently. Our Head Office is located in the Derbyshire countryside, and our new office is situated to the north-east of the town. Manor Farm Court is in the picturesque Ouse Valley Park and immediately adjacent to the Floodplain Forest Nature Reserve. This is a beautiful office location in a listed barn conversion which benefits from plentiful free carparking.
Location: Radbourne, Derby/Milton Keynes (hybrid working considered)
Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 (dependent on experience)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Landscape Architect to play a key role in the leadership and delivery of complex, large-scale projects across a range of sectors including residential, mixed-use, public realm and infrastructure-led development.
The role will involve leading projects from initial concept and masterplanning through planning, detailed design and delivery, providing both creative direction and technical oversight. You will be responsible for managing project teams, coordinating with multi-disciplinary consultants, and acting as a key point of contact for clients and local authorities.
As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will contribute to the strategic direction of projects, ensuring design quality, technical robustness and commercial awareness throughout. You will mentor and support junior staff, review outputs to maintain high standards, and help shape best practice within the studio.
The position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects, influence design outcomes, and play an active role in growing and strengthening the landscape team across the Derby and Milton Keynes offices.
Key Responsibilities
• Project lead on complex residential, commercial and public realm schemes
• Design leadership from concept, planning, detailed design to construction
• Production of LVIAs/TVIAs and associated figures
• Client, consultant and local authority liaison
• Mentoring and line management of junior staff
• Review of drawings, specifications (NBS Chorus), and reports
• Supporting fee proposals and programme management
• Site visits
Skills & Experience
• Chartered Landscape Architect (CMLI)
• Strong design, technical and project management skills
• Proven experience leading multidisciplinary projects
• Confident communicator with client-facing experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite (SketchUp / GIS beneficial)
• Full, clean manual driving license
