The expected salary range for this position is $118,800 to $132,000, which will vary based on experience, complemented by a complete benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401(k).
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
This role involves advanced technical and engineering problem-solving to support power plant operations. You will be responsible for making key technical decisions, leveraging your strong knowledge in your discipline and understanding of industry codes and regulations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
• Deliver expert technical insights to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
• Provide technical expertise and consultation to identify and resolve equipment and system challenges.
• Oversee the complete management of engineering tasks and issues.
• Execute assigned engineering tasks following established principles and standards.
• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of your work, while adhering to standard design criteria, practices, and codes in all plans and specifications.
• Conduct independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical initiatives.
• Recommend new equipment, concepts, and methodologies to optimize performance, streamline construction, reduce costs, rectify design or material flaws, or adapt to changes in codes or regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and a minimum of 5 years of professional experience are required. You should have a track record of solid performance over at least 2 years and the ability to work independently within your areas of expertise.
Completion of assigned training in skills and knowledge development is expected to enhance and deepen your technical competencies. You should also have demonstrated proficiency in mentoring junior engineers on technical challenges.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in mentoring junior engineers is highly preferred. A greater level of accountability than an Engineer 2 is required, along with demonstrated proficiency in leading cross-functional initiatives within an asset or plant.
