Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Energy Policy Analyst to join their fully remote team. This role is instrumental in researching, analyzing, and advising on complex energy policies and regulations impacting the energy sector. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, energy efficiency, and climate change mitigation strategies. You will be responsible for evaluating the economic, environmental, and social implications of various energy policies, and providing strategic recommendations to stakeholders. Key responsibilities include conducting in-depth policy research, developing analytical models, authoring policy briefs and reports, and engaging with government agencies, industry partners, and advocacy groups. The role requires strong analytical, quantitative, and qualitative research skills, coupled with excellent written and verbal communication abilities. You will stay abreast of national and international energy trends, policy developments, and technological advancements. We are looking for a strategic thinker with a passion for sustainable energy and a proven ability to translate complex policy issues into actionable insights. A Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is highly preferred. Experience in energy policy analysis, energy economics, or related fields is essential. Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of energy policies and regulations. Evaluate the impact of policies on energy markets, technology adoption, and environmental outcomes. Develop analytical frameworks and models to assess policy effectiveness. Author high-quality policy briefs, reports, and recommendations. Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory developments in the energy sector. Engage with policymakers, industry stakeholders, and NGOs. Advise on strategies for energy transition and decarbonization. Present findings and recommendations to diverse audiences. Collaborate with internal teams on energy strategy development. Stay current on emerging trends in renewable energy, energy efficiency, and climate policy. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Economics, Public Policy, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree strongly preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in energy policy analysis, energy economics, or a related field. In-depth knowledge of energy markets, renewable energy technologies, and energy efficiency. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including statistical analysis and modeling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Proficiency in research methodologies and data analysis tools. Familiarity with climate change policy and sustainable development frameworks. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience with stakeholder engagement and advocacy is a plus. Passion for advancing sustainable energy solutions.
