We are seeking an experienced Senior Employment Counsel to join our global legal team. This role will provide strategic legal guidance across employment law matters, manage and lead external counsel globally, and serve as a critical partner to HR and executive leadership. The ideal candidate brings a global mindset, sharp legal judgment, and the ability to operate with confidence in a dynamic environment spanning multiple jurisdictions.

What You’ll Do:
• Advise on complex employment law issues across the U.S., EMEA, Europe, and Australia.
• Serve as the lead legal partner to HR on day-to-day matters, including employee relations, investigations, terminations, performance management, and compensation practices.
• Interpret and implement employment policies to align with local laws and global consistency goals.
• Lead the strategy and relationship with external counsel, providing oversight rather than delegation — ensuring tailored, business-focused legal advice.
• Support global compliance with evolving labor regulations, including wage and hour laws, remote work, DE&I, contractor classification, and workplace safety.
• Manage employment disputes, litigation, and pre-litigation matters across jurisdictions.
• Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders, particularly HR and business leaders, on employment law trends and risk mitigation.
• Collaborate closely with the broader legal team on cross-functional matters that touch employment (e.g., M&A, privacy, IP, etc.).
• Thrive in a fast-moving, high-growth environment where flexibility and proactive problem-solving are key.

What You’ll Need:
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in employment law, ideally a mix of law firm and in-house at a multinational company.
• Strong working knowledge of U.S. and international labor and employment laws (US, Europe, EMEA, Australia).
• Demonstrated ability to lead outside counsel and confidently challenge legal advice where appropriate.
• Hands-on experience advising HR teams and company leadership on practical legal solutions.
• Ability to work across time zones, including outside of standard business hours.
• An agile, adaptable, and solution-oriented approach with excellent communication skills.
• Applicants must be based in the U.S. Eastern or Central Time Zones to ensure effective collaboration with our legal, HR, and leadership teams.

What we offer
• Generous salary between $110000 and $130000
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance options, with both company and employee contributions
• Life & AD&D insurance and disability coverage, fully funded by the company
• Voluntary benefits, including additional life insurance, AD&D, critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity plans
• 401(k) retirement savings plan with company matching contributions (50% match up to 6% of eligible pay)
• Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) for healthcare and dependent care
• Employee Assistance Program (EAP) offering confidential support services
• Legal assistance plan and voluntary pet insurance
• Generous paid time off, including vacation that increases with tenure and additional flexible time off (RTO)
• Statutory benefits for applicable states (e.g., NY PFL, NJ TDB)
• COBRA continuation coverage available upon termination.
