Job Description
Jersey Community Unit School District No. 100 is seeking a Science Educator for the 2025-26 school year at Jersey Community High School in Jerseyville, IL. Job Description
Position: Science Educator
School Year: 2025-26
Job Summary
Jersey Community Unit District No. 100 is in search of a caring, professional educator who is not only qualified but
extremely excited to instruct students in the areas of secondary science. Working collaboratively within professional
learning communities to build curricula and establish common assessments is required. Additionally, having
knowledge of data-driven, research based pedagogical approaches to instructing and learning is strongly desired.
Knowledge of Response to Intervention (RtI), new Illinois learning standards, Next Generation Science Standards,
technology integration, and methods of differentiation is necessary. Previous experience is preferred but would
strongly consider a candidate with the necessary credentials without experience who is highly motivated, exceptional
in disposition (caring, compassionate, patient, etc.), and extremely dedicated to the academic and social growth of all
students.

Minimum Qualifications
The professional educator MUST possess an Illinois Professional Educator License with Secondary Science (Gr. 9-12)
endorsement.
