Job Description
SJI Energy Enterprises Group is seeking an SVP & President for Renewable Energy Ventures in Mt Laurel Township, NJ. This role involves overseeing renewable energy initiatives, managing financial and operational strategies, and ensuring alignment with the company's strategic vision. The individual will act as a senior advisor, collaborate with executive management, and monitor progress towards financial and operational goals while guiding the workforce to achieve strategic objectives.

Position Summary
Responsible for the oversight and management of SJI, Renewable Energy Initiatives. This individual will operate at the strategical level by evaluating and facilitating initiatives across Renewable Energy Ventures (REV) development, financials, oversite of operations and construction projects.
The President of SJI REV will lead strategical value, organizational impact, financial and compliance functions, resource and timing dependencies to ensure alignment against SJI/REV’s Strategic Plan. The individual will be responsible for ensuring that the strategic vision is appropriately communicated, and employees are translating this vision into action. This individual will be the direct connection between the board of directors, senior leadership team, stakeholders, and the fund. Where applicable this individual will make recommendations for realignment and/or repositioning, to achieve the company’s vision and goals. Responsible for the planning, operations, scheduling and management of the financial and budgetary activities of dairy farms, landfills and all Renewable Energy Venture initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Act as the senior advisor for director reports, COO, board of directors, fund and senior executives.
• Responsible for providing direction for planning, coordinating and budgeting work associated with the Renewable Energy
• Facilitate the development, communication, and implementation of strategic business objectives alongside senior management and board of directors
• Collaborate with members of the executive management team to align departmental strategy or direction with the overall goals of the organization
• Ensure that the workforce has the capability and tools to translate the strategic vision into tactical/operational decisions towards its achievement
• Monitor and report the progress towards the achievement of the company’s financial, operational, and structural goals through measurable forecasting and actionable KPI’s
• In partnership with executive management, support the communication and implement recommendations surrounding process improvement, technological advancement, organizational structure, financial strategy and business strategy
• Contribute to the development of constructions design standards and material specifications.
• Ownership of operational strategy and risk mitigation related to renewable energy strategy
• Provide strategic oversite of steady-state operations and future stability alignment
• Ensure the optimal application of technology and engineering resources to meet product development and/or customer requirements, per the product and/or marketing requirements document.
• Oversee and manage origination, structuring, and commercial negotiation of energy offtake contracts to maximize the monetization of renewable natural gas, associated environmental attributes, and clean energy tax credits.
• Lead collection of Renewable Operational and Support organizations through strategic oversite and enhancement focus to structure organization for future state.
• Oversee cross functional teams including external relationships with contractors, sub-contractors, dairy-farmers and third-party vendors.
• Oversee operations to include evaluating operating and financial performance
• Provide direction on multiple business functions and initiatives through strategic partnerships, leveraging SJI shared services and other related functional areas to meet expectations of REV financial goals.
• Perform duties inherent in all supervisory, professional and administrative positions. Consistent with all positions in this classification, additional projects, tasks and/or duties beyond what is outlined here may be assigned as required.
Qualifications
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 20 years' experience in renewable energy; master’s degree highly preferred
• A proven track record of operational excellence, strategic planning, and team leadership within an engineering-driven environment
• Heavily focused in strategic development, oversight of P&L, operational acumen of project delivery, origination, tax, grant and government oversight
• Experience leveraging and ownership of NAV and EBITA impacts for business unit
• Experience with working with a private investors group
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and stakeholder management
• Ability to leverage technology and related functionality to improve consistency and effective of Renewable Energy Ventures operation model.
• Enhanced experience managing the oversite of capitalized projects with tract record of meeting demands and strategies of organization.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft software (Excel, Word, Access, Visio, and Power Point) and Adobe Acrobat Professional is required.
