Job Description

The University of Manchester is seeking a Research Associate for a project on life cycle assessments of polymeric cryoprotectants. The role involves conducting assessments and techno-economic analyses, reporting to Professor Matthew I. Gibson, and collaborating with other team members. Overall Purpose of the Job

The project will be focused on conducting comparative life cycle assessments of the cradle-to-grave impacts of a range of natural, biosynthetic and chemically-synthesized macromolecular cryoprotectants, extending to techno-economic analyses of the most promising candidates. The PDRA will report directly to Professor Matthew I. Gibson but also work on a daily basis with Prof Shaver and his team. A strong research and publication track record is essential with demonstrated ability to lead and finish (including publishing) projects. You must have excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and teamworking skills.
