Position Overview: The School of Chemical Engineering at UNSW offers an opportunity for a Research Associate to conduct research in nanomaterials, focusing on designing and implementing biofuel cells based on carbon nanomaterials. The role involves independent and collaborative research, publishing in international journals, participating in conferences, supervising HDR students, and engaging with industry partners.

This position is based in Australia, at UNSW's Kensington campus in Sydney. It provides opportunities for scholarly growth both nationally and internationally.

Salary & Conditions:
• Salary, Level A - $110,059 to $117,718 per annum + 17% superannuation
• Full-time, fixed-term contract for 12 months with potential extension
• Location: Kensington – Sydney, Australia

Qualifications & Skills:
• PhD in macromolecular science, material science and engineering, chemical engineering, or nanotechnology-related fields
• Proven research record with publications and conference presentations
• Experience in synthesis, characterization, and applications of carbon nanomaterials
• Ability to conduct independent, high-quality research and collaborate across disciplines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience engaging diverse stakeholders
• Knowledge of health and safety protocols and commitment to UNSW’s values
