3E is hiring a Renewables SaaS Engineer in Raleigh, NC. This full-time role involves client onboarding, project management, and providing technical advisory for software solutions. Responsibilities include driving SaaS implementations, customizing solutions, integrating systems, and leading projects. Candidates should have an engineering degree, 2-5 years of experience in renewable energy, strong analytical skills, and proficiency in programming languages. The position emphasizes client-focused communication and project management.
We are excited to welcome a Renewables SAAS Engineer to our US Operations team! In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless delivery of our software solutions to clients. Your main focus will be on client onboarding, project management, and offering technical advisory services for our most valuable projects.
We are currently scaling our US organisation, meaning you'll work closely together with the solutions delivery manager in Raleigh, 2 sales managers across the US and our Operations team that is based in our Brussels HQ.
In the role of Renewables SAAS Engineer you will work on the following topics:
• SAAS Implementation: drive the activation of pilot programs, onboarding new clients, and manage significant portfolios within SynaptiQ, all while ensuring a seamless and value-oriented experience.
• Customized Solution Design: collaborate with clients to gain a comprehensive understanding of their needs, technical setup, and business objectives. Leverage this insight to customize the implementation of SynaptiQ to meet the specific requirements of each client.
• Complex System Integration: advise clients in integrating SynaptiQ with various third-party systems, such as SCADA, energy management systems (EMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. Provide expert advice on how SynaptiQ fits into larger digital transformation strategies.
• End-to-End Project Leadership: take charge of high-impact projects from the initial scoping phase to the final delivery. Oversee the entire project lifecycle, including planning, execution, monitoring, and closure, ensuring all client commitments are fulfilled on time and within the defined scope.
• Enhance collaboration with the product team by actively communicating integrated solutions to SynaptiQ clients and identifying potential synergies between the two departments.
• Empower clients to maximize their use of SynaptiQ, driving revenue growth and cost reduction while providing first-line analysis for client inquiries in partnership with the development team.
• Adopt a client-focused and business-oriented approach that emphasizes effective communication, streamlined processes, and efficient project management.
• Assist 3E’s consultancy team in delivering advanced support to SynaptiQ clients, including performance analysis of plants and conducting root cause investigations of failures.

Our ideal candidate comes with:
• An Engineering degree (in renewable energy, mechanical, electrical engineering or related field).
• 2-5 years of experience, ideally within the renewable energy sector.
• Full proficiency in English.
• Strong analytical skills to analyse data flows through FTP, API or SQL Data collectors, UI dashboards etc.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Experience in implementation of SaaS products
• Experience with object-based programming programming languages (Javascript, Python, VBA).
• Experience with MySQL or other relational database management system.
You'll get bonus points for:
• Knowledge of Spanish
• Knowledge of databases and operating systems.
• Reporting skills (e.g., FlexiReport, PowerBI).
