Kinder Morgan is seeking a Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Ops Specialist/Mechanic in Bremen, IN. This role involves maintenance of RNG Processing Plant equipment, including installation, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical and electrical systems. Kinder Morgan is one of the largest energy infrastructure companies in North America, operating approximately 83,000 miles of pipelines and 141 terminals. The company is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions through the transportation of renewable natural gas (RNG). The Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) Ops Specialist/Mechanic will be responsible for maintenance at an RNG Processing Plant in Indiana. This role involves a variety of tasks including the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of structural, mechanical, and electrical equipment at RNG facilities. The specialist will also be responsible for overhauling compressors, rotating equipment, vessels, tanks, engines, turbines, and motors, ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely. In addition to hands-on maintenance work, the specialist will provide training to other personnel on the proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment. They will perform engine and compressor performance analysis, interpret operating reports, and maintain the general upkeep of all RNG facilities and equipment. The role requires oversight of construction and maintenance activities performed by third parties, as well as the identification and correction of safety and environmental concerns. The specialist will also manage spare parts inventory and complete necessary documentation and paperwork in compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. The position demands a high level of personal safety awareness, as well as the safety of company assets and the general public. The specialist will liaise with management and operations to ensure regulatory compliance and will be available for weekend and after-hours calls related to equipment repairs and outages. Regular attendance and a high level of job performance are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain structural, mechanical and electrical equipment at RNG Facilities.

• Overhaul compressors, rotating equipment, vessels, tanks, flare, engines, turbines, motors, and auxiliary equipment.
,
• Provide training to other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
,
• Perform engine/compressor performance analysis.
,
• Interpret lubricating oil, coolant and other operating reports.
,
• Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of all RNG facilities and equipment as needed.
,
• Oversee/inspect the construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third parties.
,
• Identify, report, and correct safety and environmental concerns.
,
• Maintain and control suitable spare parts inventory, tooling, etc.
,
• Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork as required.
,
• Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.

• Read and edit technical drawings to ensure all components work as designed in a broader RNG system.

• Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
,
• Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of job performance.

• Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

• Liaison with Management and Operations in assuring regulatory compliance and outage/PM schedules.

• Complete daily, weekly and monthly reports, documentation and filing paperwork.
Requirements
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
,
• 3-5 years of experience in a related field.
,
• Basic computer skills (knowledge of MS Office, operating systems, company software, CMMS/Maintenance Software).
,
• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment.
,
• Knowledge and ability to read and interpret blueprints and diagrams.
,
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a satisfactory driving record.
,
• May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties.
Nice-to-haves
• 1-5 years of experience with RNG, industrial gases, or installation of mechanical and electrical systems.

• Knowledge of performance parameters and measurement techniques for mechanical equipment.
,
• Experience with reading and interpreting blueprints and diagrams.
,
• Knowledge of and experience in safe handling practices of flammable gases, liquids and high-pressure systems.
,
• Experience with industrial controls, computer and PLC controls.
,
• Experience analyzing, troubleshooting, adjusting, and making minor repairs on compressor engines, pumps and associated equipment.
,
• Experience in Maximo, OpsInfo and SCADA.
