Renewable Energy Engineer

Argonne National Laboratory is hiring a Renewable Energy Engineer to analyze the security and resilience of energy systems. We are seeking a highly motivated Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team at Argonne National Laboratory. As a member of our Decision and Infrastructure Sciences (DIS) Division, you will play a key role in developing and implementing methodologies to analyze security and resilience of energy systems and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities include conducting research on renewable energy sources, optimizing energy system operations, and identifying interdependencies among the power grid, oil and natural gas, and other infrastructure systems.

A successful candidate must have advanced degree in a relevant science or engineering field, such as electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, applied mathematics, or computer science. Strong communication skills and experience working in a team environment are essential.
• Develop and implement methodologies to analyze security and resilience of energy systems and related infrastructure.
• Conduct research on wide-ranging topics, including renewable energy sources, optimization of energy system operations, interdependencies among the power grid, oil and natural gas, and other infrastructure systems.
• Engage with government agencies, industry partners, and academia to support energy security and resilience analysis, planning, and decision-making.
