Regional Coordinator

The Sustainable Social Development Organisation is seeking a Regional Coordinator in Lahore, Pakistan, to support project activities focused on sustainable social development. Responsibilities include engaging with partners, assisting in project management, documenting learnings, and coordinating events. Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in social sciences and 3-5 years of relevant experience. Proficiency in English and Urdu is required. This is a full-time position with no indication of remote work.
Job Purpose:

To provide support in the implementation of project activities in specific areas, focusing on sustainable social development.

Background:

The Sustainable Social Development Organization (SSDO) is a research-based non-governmental advocacy organization dedicated to contributing to societal well-being through an institutionalized system of social development and responsible citizenship. Its mission aims to stimulate public and policy dialogue on social development policies, legislative processes, democratization, rule of law, good governance, human rights, and civic action.

Key Responsibilities:
• Mobilize, engage, and liaise with project partners, including parliamentarians, government officials, media representatives, and community members, to support project activities.
• Assist the project manager in developing content for mobilization activities, capacity building, policy dialogue, conventions, and related events.
• Help plan, monitor, and manage program activities for assigned projects.
• Ensure strong documentation and timely reporting of the program. Assist in preparing reports, lessons learned, change stories, and other documentation.
• Properly document learnings, take quality pictures/videos, and gather testimonials.
• Collect, manage, and maintain program data in both digital and physical formats promptly.
• Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with stakeholders through networking and promoting project activities.
• Coordinate with key external stakeholders to ensure alignment and support for project activities.
• Support the project team in achieving project results.
• Lead and coordinate meetings, workshops, conferences, trainings, and other activities relevant to the project.
• Organize project meetings, including preparing agendas, working papers, logistical arrangements, minute-taking, and follow-up.
• Prepare and submit relevant activity reports for the project team.
• Perform any other tasks or responsibilities assigned by the Line Manager based on organizational and programming needs.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Minimum bachelor's degree in social sciences or a relevant field of education.
• A minimum of 3-5 years' work experience in the development sector, particularly in implementing projects focused on themes such as rule of law, democratic governance, gender-based violence, youth development, citizen engagement, peace, and resilience.
• At least half of this experience should be related to coordination, project management, community outreach, government liaison, and event organization.
• Active social media user, particularly on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, and v-logging on various social and political issues.
• Understanding and skills around program management and reporting.
• Experience in partnership and network management.
• Ability to travel on short notice.
• Proactive in communication and information sharing.

Languages: Excellent command of English and Urdu – verbal and written.
