Project Manager - Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency

RPO Recruitment is seeking a Project Manager for Renewable Energy & Energy Efficiency in Cape Town, South Africa. The role involves planning and overseeing energy and water projects nationally, requiring a degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Candidates with project management qualifications and renewable energy expertise, particularly in solar and battery systems, are preferred. National travel is required.
Our client, a leading renewable energy and energy efficiency solutions provider with national operations, is seeking a dynamic Project Manager to plan and oversee energy and water projects across South Africa. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineering professional with renewable energy experience to manage cutting-edge projects in solar, battery storage, hydro, and energy efficiency sectors.

Cape Town (Preferred), Durban or Centurion | National Travel Required

Requirements:
• BEng (Mechanical or Civil Engineering), B.Sc Eng (Mechanical or Civil Engineering), BTech (Mechanical or Civil Engineering),
• Minimum 3 years' experience in Renewable Energy and/or Construction Management
• Experience with planning and overseeing Energy and/or Water projects
• Experience with Solar PV systems (design, installation, commissioning)
• Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) experience
• Hydro or other renewable energy technologies exposure
• Project management experience from concept to completion
• Construction site management and supervision experience

Highly Advantageous:
• Project Management qualification (PMP, PRINCE2, or similar)
