Position Overview:
An exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer/Electrical Engineer to join our client's dynamic renewable energy team. This role focuses on managing Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), solar, and wind facilities, combining technical expertise with project management responsibilities in a rapidly growing sector.
Key Responsibilities:
• Systems Management: Oversee BESS, solar, and wind unit control systems to ensure operational efficiency.
• Project Leadership: Direct the planning, design, and execution of electric generation projects.
• Engineering Support: Conduct engineering design reviews and oversee EPC contractor activities.
• Technical Expertise: Provide technical support for capital projects and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (FERC, NERC, WECC).
• Operations Support: Assist in operations and maintenance activities to optimize system performance.
• Team Management: Manage electrical contractors and project timelines effectively.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in industrial power systems or electric utility sectors.
• Project Management: Strong skills in project planning, execution, and documentation.
• Technical Proficiency: Ability to analyze technical data and produce detailed technical reports.
• Licenses/Certifications: Valid driver's license;
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Travel: Willingness to travel to sites in Kevin and Ethridge, Montana.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Advanced technical degree.
• Experience with renewable energy systems.
• Knowledge of NERC compliance.
