Job Description Project Director - Environmental Services We're seeking an experienced Project Director to lead complex environmental projects with a focus on wetland science, ecological assessments, stormwater permitting, and environmental due diligence. This is a senior-level leadership opportunity for someone who combines deep technical knowledge with strong client management and business development skills. You'll guide multi-disciplinary teams, oversee high-profile projects, and help shape the strategic growth of our environmental practice.
What You'll Do: Direct and manage multi-disciplinary environmental projects from proposal through completion. Lead wetland delineations, vegetation surveys, and permitting efforts under federal, state, and local programs (e.g., Clean Water Act Sections 404/401, NEPA, ESA, NPDES). Serve as a trusted client partner, providing strategic guidance and ensuring regulatory compliance
Coordinate with regulatory agencies such as the USACE, EPA, and USFWS. Mentor project managers and scientists while fostering collaboration across teams. Support business development through proposal preparation and client relationship management.
What We're Looking For: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Natural Resources, or related field. 15+ years of progressive experience in environmental consulting, including project and team leadership. Strong working knowledge of federal and state permitting programs.
Proven ability to manage complex projects on time and within budget. Demonstrated success in developing client relationships and generating repeat business. Professional Wetland Scientist (PWS) certification or ability to obtain preferred.
