About the Opportunity:
As a Principal Ecologist / Team Leader, you will lead our ecological initiatives, providing leadership and technical expertise to guide projects from inception to completion. With a focus on innovation and excellence, you will manage and mentor staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Your role will involve field and office-based activities, including travelling across the nation as part of a truly national team. You will be responsible for delivering field survey programs, preparing high-quality deliverables, and cultivating client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead ecological assessment and management projects, utilising your extensive experience and technical expertise.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to colleagues, leveraging emotional intelligence and pragmatic attitudes.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, government agencies, and fellow team members.
• Conduct ecological assessments, habitat surveys, and impact analyses, ensuring strong understanding of relevant legislation, regulations, and environmental policies.
• Prepare and review reports, conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
