Honey Green is seeking a detail-oriented Packaging Support in Joplin, MO, to assist the packaging manager with cannabis product packaging. Responsibilities include executing packaging tasks, adhering to SOPs, operating equipment, and ensuring product quality. Job description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable packaging support to assist our packaging manager in the efficient and smooth operation of our packaging department. The packaging support will work closely with other team members to ensure all packaging tasks are completed accurately and in compliance with company policies and regulations.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Execute packaging tasks according to the instructions provided by the Packaging Lead.
• Adhere to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols at all times.
• Support the Packaging Lead in labeling, weighing, sealing, and packaging of cannabis products.
• Operate packaging equipment under the supervision of the Packaging Lead.
• Keep packaging areas clean, organized, and free from clutter.
• Assist in inventory management by ensuring proper storage and labeling of packaging materials and finished products.
• Help ensure product quality by inspecting packaging materials for defects or inconsistencies.
• Notify the packaging manager/lead of any issues or deviations from quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with the packaging team and other departments to achieve production goals.
• Communicate effectively with the Packaging Lead and other team members to report progress, challenges, and suggestions for improvement.

Compliance Responsibilities
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to maintain quality standards.

Physical Requirements
• Manual Dexterity and Precision
• Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision (e.g., weighing, labeling, packaging).
• Good hand-eye coordination for handling small items like pre-rolls or small jars.
• Standing/Sitting for Long Periods
• Ability to stand, sit, or move intermittently for 6-8 hours.
• Some tasks may require sitting at workstations for extended periods, while others require standing at tables.
• Lifting Requirements
• Ability to lift and move up to 25-50 lbs (e.g., bulk flower bags, packaging supplies).
• Some bending, squatting, and lifting from the ground level.
• Repetitive Motions
• Frequent use of hands, wrists, and arms for packaging tasks such as sealing bags, twisting pre-rolls, or labeling products.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting to handle various materials.
• Fine Motor Skills
• Precision required when weighing flower, sealing packages, or rolling joints.
• ​​​​​​​Some positions may require the assembly of intricate product components (like vape carts).
• Pace and Performance Expectations
• Ability to maintain a fast, efficient pace while meeting accuracy and quality standards.

Working Conditions
• Indoor, Production Facility Setting
• Work takes place inside a climate-controlled facility with specific temperature and humidity requirements to preserve product quality.
• Clean and Controlled Environment
• Compliance with sanitation protocols (e.g., wearing gloves, hairnets, lab coats).
• Some areas may require mask use depending on the type of products (e.g., handling flower).
• Moderate to High Noise Levels
• Noise from packaging machines, ventilation systems, or production equipment may be present.
• Ear protection might be required in certain areas.

• Exposure to Strong Odors
• Frequent exposure to the odor of cannabis flower, oils, or concentrates.
• Sensitivity to cannabis smells or certain cleaning chemicals should be taken into consideration.
• Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment
• Packaging lines often involve close collaboration with other team members to meet production targets.
• ​​​​​​​Ability to stay on task and coordinate with others under tight deadlines is essential.

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 21 years of age, or older.
• Prior experience in cannabis industry, preferred.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors and more experienced team members.
• Attention to detail and commitment to adhering to standard operating procedures to ensure product quality and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues towards common goals.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to support cultivation operations.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and obtain a Missouri Agent Card.
