Job Description
City National Bank is seeking an Operational Resilience Analyst in Wilmington, DE. The role involves planning and executing resilience projects, managing teams, and ensuring compliance with operational resilience policies. Responsibilities include project management, liaising with business representatives, conducting scenario exercises, and assessing risks. The analyst will document processes and prepare reports to enhance the bank's operational resilience posture.
Operational Resilience Analyst - [FLoD]
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The role of the Operational Resilience Analyst is part of the FLoD Operational Resilience Team and will plan, execute, and finalize Bank projects according to timelines, milestone events and within budget. This includes acquiring resources, capacity planning and coordinating and motivating all project team members, contractors and or consultants to flawlessly complete project deliverables. Project Managers help define project objectives, scope and requirements; and ensure high levels of development and project execution throughout its life cycle. City National Bank Project Managers must adhere to the CNB Operational Resiliency Lifecycle Methodology.
What you will do
The Operational Resilience Analyst is responsible for the end-to-end design, execution, reporting, and oversight of the Operational Resilience Programs within CNB Bank. They will liaise with Business Line representatives to ensure the maximum level of preparedness, conforming to policy, regulatory compliance relative to Operational Resilience. They will help define project objectives, scope and requirements; and ensure high levels of development and project execution throughout its lifecycle.
• Assembles project team, assigns individual responsibilities, identifies appropriate resources needed, and develops schedule to ensure timely completion of project and meeting deadlines of project.
• Participates in meeting activities to identify project goals and gain consensus on project steps, schedule and implementation procedures; fosters cooperation and involvement of support team.
• Manages several projects of varying size concurrently and consults with all levels of management which may require coordinating activities across multiple departments and/or divisions.
• Interviews colleagues/client to identify and analyze needs; develops project plan and provides input to recommendations for request/problem resolution.
• Identifies internal and/or external resources to ensure successful project completion.
• Monitors development activities relating to meeting project objectives, budget, quality standards and schedule.
• Update and maintain the inventory of Critical & Significant business services, ensuring Lines of Businesses key processes are identified, inventoried, mapped from an end-to-end perspective across CNB Bank.
• Document impact tolerance statements based on risk appetite and identified harms.
• Plan and conduct table-top scenario exercises and assess control environment with key stakeholders to determine whether recovery within impact tolerance is possible.
• Validate and document scenario testing outputs, gaps identified, and remediation required.
• Assess the risks, single points of failure, gaps and vulnerabilities in the critical processes to prioritize recommendations and remediation in ORMS/Archer.
• Prepare Self-assessment Reports for Service Owner sign-off. Collaborate with Operational Risk colleagues and risk domain experts (e.g. Third-party Risk, Business Continuity Management, Cyber/IT, Conduct, Data risks, etc.) to develop a comprehensive perspective of Operational Resilience.
Monitoring and Reporting:
• Development of key risk indicators (KRIs) for CNB to measure, analyze, monitor and report on resilience posture for critical services.
• Develop and support the delivery of enterprise developed training and awareness programs to ensure proper understanding and implementation of Operational Resilience and mitigation of risk.
Must-Have*
• Minimum ten years project manager experience
• Minimum five years work experience in a bank or financial services
• Minimum five years managing an extensive project(s) and/or team(s)
Skills and Knowledge
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
• Minimum 5-7 years practical Business Continuity, Operational Resilience experience
• Strong knowledge a GRC system (Archer), incorporating continuous improvement for the system and process
• DRI Certified Business Continuity Professional preferred
• Demonstrated skills in applying Resilience, Business Continuity planning principles to various levels (staff, management and executive) of the company
• Knowledge of recent Business Continuity and Operational Resilience practices such as the OCC "Sound Practices to Strengthen Operational Resilience"
• Able to effectively interact with peers, subordinates, internal and external customers and vendors.
• Excellent, analytical, problem solving, communication, and prioritization skills
• Demonstrated ability to influence and motivate individuals and teams.
• Advanced presentation skills and oral and written communication skills
• Excellent project management skills, which include task identification, project planning, and ability to understand scope of recovery efforts, ability to coordinate critical activities during continuity exercises and events, and proficiency with tools required to pull project together.
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently
Compensation
Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
