Responsibilities

The Neurodiagnostic Technologist functions as the multi-skilled component of the Division's technical staff performing electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials, Autonomic and/or Nerve Conduction Studies. Must demonstrate advanced competency, skill and knowledge in neurodiagnostic procedural testing in the area of hire. The technologists are responsible for complete and accurate patient preparation, data acquisition, and providing a safe testing environment. Must be highly organized, efficient, and able to work independently. Must be continually involved in advanced job competencies to enhance the work environment.

Qualifications

Tech I
• High school diploma or GED
• One or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
• Must achieve a National Registry certification in at least one of the neurodiagnostic procedures relative to the needs of the department within 2 years of hire.
• BLS certification

Tech II
• High School diploma or equivalent, or Associates degree or higher, or an accredited school of END Technology.
• Two or more years in Electro Neuro Diagnostic procedure testing (this includes clinical experience while attending formal END education).
• Certification Registry in one or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc.)
• BLS certification.

Tech III
• Associates degree from an accredited school of EEG/NCS/EP Technology
• Two or more year(s) performing one or more of electrodiagnostic procedures in EEG/NCS/EP/IOM/LTM/Autonomic.
• Certification in two or more of the following: EEG, EP, NCS, CNIM, CLTM, CAP, PSG, CNCT from an accredited society (AAET, ABEM, ABRET, etc).
• BLS certification.

Tech I: Compensation range is $28.24 - $42.40 / hour Tech II: Compensation range is $29.94 - $44.97 / hour Tech III: Compensation range is $31.79 - $47.71 / hour
