The Role

The successful person will become a member of a hardworking and committed team.

You will be responsible for:
• Operate authorized machinery and conduct daily work area inspections
• Perform planned and unplanned Borefields tasks, including bore and wellhead installation/removal
• Conduct pre-start inspections and maintain housekeeping of vehicles, equipment, and workspaces
• Service, maintain, and repair diesel-run water pumps, including assembly and installation
• Inspect, maintain, and install water infrastructure such as sumps, trenches, and pipelines
• Perform poly welding and relocate pumps and pipelines as required
• Assist with Mine Services tasks, including mobile crib and ablution maintenance
• Ensure equipment and infrastructure are operated and maintained according to procedures
• Apply safe work methods and report active or potential hazards
• Identify and report active and potential hazards

About You

This role would suit an experienced Water Management Technician. You will also have:
• Experience in the repair and maintenance of dewatering equipment and infrastructure
• Experience in the operation of mobile earth moving equipment that includes excavators and loaders/IT
• Previous open pit mining experience
• Experience in Borefields operations
• Ability to maintain service and repair diesel run water pumps
• Knowledge of pump assembly, installation and operation
• Ability to inspect, maintain and install water infrastructure including sumps, trenches and pipes
• Ability to poly weld in order to construct and repair pipelines
• Ability to move pumps and pipelines
