ERM’s Climate Risk and Opportunity Advisory (CROA) team, within our Corporate Sustainability & Climate Change (CS&CC) division, is expanding. We seek consultants to support clients in shaping and implementing climate strategies and disclosures. This role offers significant opportunities for career progression, increased responsibility, and developing market-leading solutions in the climate change sector. The focus will be on quantifying financial impacts of climate risks, with opportunities to contribute broadly across climate-related projects.
Role Responsibilities:
• Apply quantitative methods to assess climate risks and opportunities, including financial statement analysis, discounted cash flow modeling, and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Engage with corporate clients, including senior leaders, to educate on climate topics and present analytical findings.
• Develop templated quantitative methodologies for climate risk estimation.
• Integrate diverse data sources such as financial data, geospatial climate data, and industry reports into analyses.
• Support delivery of client projects by collaborating across teams.
• Communicate findings effectively to foster client engagement in low-carbon transition efforts.
• Assist in business development activities, including drafting proposals and developing new service offerings.
• Contribute to thought leadership and internal knowledge sharing initiatives.
Candidate Profile:

Required:
• Academic and professional background in climate change, sustainability, finance, or economics, with understanding of decarbonization and net zero pathways.
• Ability to produce high-quality, client-ready deliverables independently; critical thinking and adaptability.
• Advanced Excel skills, financial modeling experience, and familiarity with climate change concepts.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of simplifying complex technical information for non-technical audiences.
Preferred:
• Knowledge of climate/regulatory frameworks like TCFD, CSRD, IFRS.
• Experience with climate indicator data and uncertainty modeling.
• Professional experience in climate-related risks and opportunities.
Experience:
• Graduate or postgraduate degree in relevant field.
• 4-6 years of relevant professional experience.
