Job Description
Strata Clean Energy is seeking a Planning & Scheduling Manager in Durham, NC, to oversee scheduling for utility-scale solar and storage projects. The role involves leading master schedule development, facilitating planning sessions, and managing a team of schedulers. Candidates should have 5+ years in EPC project scheduling, preferably in renewable energy, and strong proficiency in Primavera P6. The position requires office work and travel to project sites.

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned Planning & Scheduling Manager to lead scheduling efforts across multiple utility-scale solar and BESS projects ranging from $25MM to $300MM. This role requires full lifecycle project experience with a strong emphasis on EPC execution and cross-functional coordination.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development and management of master schedules (L1-L5) across multiple concurrent projects.
• Facilitate integrated planning sessions with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
• Oversee transparent and consistent reporting to senior leadership, including look-ahead schedules, earned value metrics, manpower forecasts, and KPI dashboards.
• Conduct schedule risk analysis, critical path reviews, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Drive standardization of scheduling practices and reporting formats across the EPC portfolio.
• Support project teams with clear visibility into schedule status and performance trends.
• Support and lead process and tool enhancements as we work toward efficient processes from project inception to project closeout, cost and schedule reporting, and creation of resource histograms for Engineering and Construction
Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Manage and mentor a team of 4+ schedulers, ensuring workload distribution, quality control, and professional development.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• 5+ years in EPC project scheduling, preferably in solar or renewable energy.
• Proven leadership experience, including managing scheduling teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, with expertise in CPM, resource loading, activity code assignment, and reporting with knowledge of Earned Value Methodology.
• Strong understanding of EPC workflows and construction sequencing.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, detail-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed (
