As we expand our initiatives in regenerative agriculture and community-based restoration, we are seeking a Soil and Agriculture Specialist to join our passionate, impact-driven team.

What You’ll Do

As a Soil and Agriculture Specialist at IORA, you will:

Assess and improve soil health through field-based surveys, laboratory analysis, and collaborative diagnostics.

Design and implement climate-resilient farming systems —agroforestry models, cover cropping, organic amendments, and more.

Lead training programs and demonstration plots with local communities to build knowledge and accelerate adoption of regenerative practices.

Work hand-in-hand with forest-dependent communities and smallholder farmers, fostering co-creation of solutions that respect local wisdom and ecological realities.

Partner with cross-disciplinary teams—ecologists, hydrologists, social scientists—to ensure holistic project outcomes.

Develop knowledge products and insights to influence policy, scaling regenerative agriculture as a pillar of India’s climate and development agenda.

Who You Are

A soil health advocate and agricultural innovator—driven to heal landscapes and empower communities .

Equipped with a background in soil science, agronomy, environmental science, or agroecology (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred).

Grounded in practical, hands-on fieldwork —whether you’re taking soil samples, talking with farmers, or mapping land-use practices.

A clear communicator and trusted collaborator who can build relationships across sectors and cultures.
