Background and Role Overview
WRI India is seeking a Legal Intern to support the in-house legal team with routine documentation and compliance-related work. The intern will assist in maintaining and organizing legal records, supporting the review and tracking of agreements, and ensuring that relevant documentation is properly filed and updated.
Objectives
The primary objective of this role is to support the legal function in ensuring efficient documentation, compliance tracking, and record management.
Maintain accurate and updated legal documentation and trackers.Support review and tracking of agreements and contracts.Ensure proper filing and organization of legal records.Assist in maintaining compliance with organizational and audit requirements.
Scope of Work and Methodology
The Legal Intern will work closely with the in-house legal team to support ongoing legal and compliance activities.
A. Documentation and Record Management
Assist in maintaining and updating organizational trackers for MoUs, NDAs, and grant-related documents.Support in organizing, filing, and maintaining records of agreements and related documentation for the financial year.
B. Contract Review Support
Provide assistance in reviewing basic contractual documents.Ensure documentation is complete and properly recorded.
C. Compliance Support
Assist in ensuring that documents and records are maintained in accordance with organizational compliance and audit requirements.Provide general support to the legal team, as required.
Roles and Responsibilities of Legal Intern
The intern will support the following areas:
Legal documentation and tracker management.Contract review and record-keeping.Compliance and audit support.General administrative support to the legal team.
Duration and Location
Duration: 2 months (can be extended)
Location: New Delhi
Commitment: Full Time preferred
Reporting To: In-House Legal Counsel
Stipend - INR 10,000 to 15,000
Must-Have Qualifications
3–4 year of LL.B./B.A. LL.B.Strong research, writing, and MS Office/Google Workspace skills.Comfort with redlining tools (Word track changes) and basic Excel.Attention to detail, deadline orientation, and confidentiality.
