Job Description
Shrewsberry & Associates, LLC is hiring a Landscape Architect in Denver, CO. The role involves leading design projects, managing client expectations, and coordinating with various stakeholders. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture and 8-12 years of experience. Responsibilities include creating construction documents, managing project scopes, and mitigating risks. The position offers a salary of $70K–110K a year and is full-time.
Position Summary
The Landscape Architect will work closely with an integrated team on designs transforming the public realm within urban spaces and the built environment, and as stewards of the natural environmental systems. They ultimately strive to exceed the client needs while providing innovative and aesthetically pleasing places for people to enjoy, while ensuring that changes to the natural environment are appropriate, sensitive, and sustainable. With the support of the company and the rest of the department, the candidate would be able to manage projects, provide design direction, handle client expectations and be on the lookout for the next exciting opportunity.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead the design, detail, and full construction documents and specifications including grading, layout, detailing, planting plans, and hardscape elements
• Coordinate with client, civil engineers, MEP, architect, and General Contractor on complex projects during design, documentation, and construction
• Participate in decisions regarding technical approach, cost, and scheduling performance
• Provide technical direction and development on the scope of work, detailed and on-going schedule input, and budgets for the assigned project elements
• Mitigate project risk
• Manage scope, identify and document changes in scope, and identify amendments for changes
• Participate in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews, construction site visits, and design revisions/management of change
• Be willing to expand client and professional network
Education and/or Experience
• A Bachelor of Science degree in landscape architecture or related discipline required
• 8-12 years of experience serving clients on a wide variety of projects
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
