Junior Urban Designer

Dar is a leading international, multidisciplinary consultant with offices in Bangalore and throughout the World, currently seeking a talented Urban Designer to join its Bangalore Design office.

Responsibilities
• Working with colleagues and fellow team members in a positive, enthusiastic and proactive way to deliver high quality project work;
• Assisting in the design of masterplans and urban design deliverables;
• Helping to produce the technical inputs of other consultants within the business, the Dar Group, and external consultants;
• Assisting in the preparation of reports and creating presentations, diagrams, technical drawings, and other deliverables and ensuring that they are submitted on time and to the highest quality achievable;
• Assisting in the preparation of proposals for new projects.

Qualifications & Experience
• A bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning or Architecture and a postgraduate degree/diploma in Urban Design;
• Some internship work experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment;
• Good design, writing, and presentation skills;
• Display an attention to detail and care in production of work material;
• A good knowledge of current urban design and masterplanning best practices and sustainable development
• Display initiative, motivation, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong sketching ability is a plus;
• Candidates must be fluent in written and spoken English; knowledge of a second language is an added bonus;
• Good written, listening and verbal communication skills;
• Experience of international work environment is a bonus;
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite is required;
• Knowledge of and proficiency in some of the following common software types is essential:

o Autodesk products such as Civil3d and AutoCAD;

o ESRI products including CityEngine and ArcGIS;

o Sketchup;

o Twinmotion or Lumion.
