In this position, you will support the technical delivery, including the environmental planning and permitting of privately owned infrastructure projects across Western Canada. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the environment while working on critical infrastructure projects. Responsibilities Include
• Support project teams in meeting external client objectives and project-specific timelines.
• Conduct thorough desktop assessments and reviews using provincial and federal databases, technical drawings, and other resources to identify potential environmental risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies
• Support provincial and federal permitting throughout the project lifecycle, working with our strong technical team to complete applications, regulatory notifications, and reporting; and collaborate with regulatory agencies
• Coordinate environmental field studies, ensuring applicable project information is provided to the field crews and appropriate field data is collected to support permit applications and the drafting of technical documents
• Manage project task budgets and support change management
• Provide technical writing support for environmental protection plans or construction clearance documents.
• Assist with regulatory compliance activities related to provincial or federal legislation
• Be a safety leader and promote Jacobs Beyond Zero and our culture of caring

Here's what you'll need
• Bachelor's degree in Applied Sciences, Environmental Science, Natural Sciences, or a related field.  
• 4 to 8 years of relevant planner or project support experience, preferably in a consulting environment working on infrastructure or energy projects
• Familiarity with provincial and federal environmental regulations and permitting processes is considered an asset
• Time management skills, with the ability to simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects and meet project deadlines
• Experience in aspects of project management, including financial, technical, and coordination
• Demonstrated ability of excellent written and verbal communication skills and willingness to be client-facing to support our planning and permitting services
• A high level of demonstrated initiative, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work under minimal supervision
• Strong understanding and consideration for safety in all aspects of work.

Posted Salary Range Minimum

66,300.00

Posted Salary Range Upper

103,575.00

The base salary range for this position is $66,300.00 to $103,575.00. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across British Columbia, Canada locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
