BAT is seeking a Sustainability Coordinator in Tepic, Nayarit, Mexico, to enhance safety, health, and environmental culture within the LEAF area. We are looking for a Sustainability Coordinator to strengthen the safety, health, and environmental culture within the LEAF area by executing global procedures and strategic initiatives.
Job Description

The Sustainability Coordinator drives positive behavioral change among administrative and operational personnel while ensuring compliance with sustainability standards. Key responsibilities include strengthening the sustainability culture, ensuring compliance with global and regional sustainability policies and procedures, monitoring incidents and accidents, and developing sustainability initiatives.
Responsibilities
• Strengthen the sustainability culture at all levels of the organization.
• Ensure compliance with global and regional sustainability policies and procedures.
• Monitor and investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring proper follow-up and closure of corrective action plans.
• Assist in the planning and supervision of high-risk tasks to prevent accidents and environmental hazards.
• Develop and promote sustainability initiatives to improve key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Drive engagement and awareness programs to enhance a proactive risk prevention culture.
• Work closely with contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance with sustainability and safety standards.
Requirements
• Graduate in Occupational Health and Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in EHS, including implementing sustainability initiatives and compliance programs.
• Experience in risk assessment, incident investigation, and action plan execution.
• MEDIUM level English.
• Proficient level of MS Office applications. STPS, SEMANAT, IMSS, Civil Protection.
• Ability to influence and engage teams to strengthen the sustainability culture, combined with strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to drive continuous improvement.
