HVAC Installer

Thermocool Heating & Cooling is seeking a full-time HVAC Installer in Atco, NJ. The role involves residential installation, leading a crew, and training others. Candidates should have skills in gas and refrigeration pipe installation, troubleshooting, and customer interaction. Typical hours are 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional weekends but no on-call duties.
We are presently seeking a full-time 1st mechanic / lead, HVAC installer primarily for residential application. Pay and terms are negotiable for this position so if you fit the bill we encourage you to come and chat with us. What this installer position calls for:

Hard skill requirements:

Ability to plan out and complete residential installation projects

Fill a lead position in an installation crew and train others within your crew

Understanding and proficiency at installing Gas Pipe and Refrigeration Pipe

Intimate understanding of refrigerant, gas, electric furnaces, and heat pumps systems

Ability to troubleshoot if needed, and installation of all residential equipment

General knowledge and understanding of HVAC low voltage, and line voltage systems

Ability to read, understand and implement practices to meet New Jersey and local construction codes

Ability to work with customers directly in their homes in a clean and respectable fashion.

Soft Skill requirements:

Pass background check and drug screening

Valid driver's license with insurable driving record

High school diploma or its equivalent

Ability to maintain, re-stock and keep clean a company vehicle

Ability to communicate with dispatch, and team members on current and daily work goals

Ability to fill out and submit where required all company documentation, as well as follow company procedures and policy

Be willing to enroll in continued education, training and willing to learn

Summary:

Position may sometimes require post rough-in installation finals, zoning systems, and occasional service related part installations. Typical work hours are from 7:00AM to 4:00 PM and may require occasional weekends. This position will NOT require ON call !
