ChemTrack Alaska, Inc. is seeking a Geologist and Environmental Project Manager in Anchorage, AK. The role involves hands-on fieldwork, technical problem-solving, and project management, including preparing Sampling and Analysis Plans, leading sampling campaigns, and drafting technical reports. We are currently only looking for candidates that are located in or near Anchorage, Alaska.

Compensation: $100,000 DOE

Your Role…

As a Geologist and Environmental Project Manager at ChemTrack Alaska, your day is a mix of hands-on fieldwork and technical problem-solving. You might start in the Anchorage office, preparing Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs) and coordinating with the field team to ensure everything is ready for an upcoming investigation. Once on-site, you will lead sampling campaigns for soil, groundwater, and other media, ensuring compliance with ADEC regulations and project standards.

You will analyze data, troubleshoot challenges, and oversee the proper implementation of work plans, collaborating with your team to achieve project goals. Back in the office, you will draft technical reports, interpret analytical results, and provide guidance on environmental compliance. Whether you’re managing permits, mentoring staff, or working on proposals, your role is crucial to delivering high-quality solutions for clients.

Qualifications:
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Geology, environmental science, geochemistry, hydrogeology, environmental geology, geotechnical engineering, earth science, or a related discipline.
• Regulatory Expertise: Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and field sampling.
• Field Experience: Experience in soil classification, groundwater sampling, well installation, and contaminated site work.
• Certifications: HAZWOPER 40-hour certification with 8-hour refreshers, and DOT/IATA hazardous materials training.
• Project Leadership: Proven ability to oversee field teams, coordinate investigations, and manage environmental projects.
• Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in creating and reviewing Sampling and Analysis Plans (SAPs), Quality Assurance Project Plans (QAPPs), and technical reports.
• Adaptability and Travel Readiness: Willingness to travel within Alaska, work in remote environments, and manage the physical demands of fieldwork.
