Recruitmymom is seeking a Fundraising Manager for their NPO focused on childhood nutrition in Western Cape, South Africa. The role involves developing fundraising strategies, securing diverse funding sources, managing donor relationships, leading a fundraising team, and overseeing budgets. Candidates should have a relevant degree, proven fundraising experience, and proficiency in various technical skills. This is a full-time position that requires local logistics.
OUR MISSION

A well-established, forward-thinking NPO focused on childhood nutrition projects. They operate through a unique social enterprise model, holding controlling shares in a food production company to manufacture science-backed supplementary meals for vulnerable children.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Seeking an experienced Fundraising Manager who can blend the heart of a humanitarian with the strategy of a business leader. This role involves working directly with the founders and CEO to ensure sustainable growth and development impact for vulnerable children.

MAIN DUTIES

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Strategic Development: Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with organisational goals.
• Revenue Generation: Secure funding through diverse channels including corporate sponsorships, grants, high-net-worth individuals, foundations, partnerships, and product-linked income.
• Market Analysis: Research market trends and emerging donor opportunities within nutrition, child health, and social impact sectors while analysing performance data to optimise growth.
• Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with donors, corporates, partners, and key stakeholders.
• Leadership & Collaboration: Lead, mentor, and support a growing fundraising team while collaborating with marketing on storytelling, campaigns, PR, and digital visibility.
• Operations: Manage fundraising budgets with a focus on efficiency, compliance, and accountability, representing the organisation at industry events.

REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Development/Fundraising, or a related field.
• Professional Experience: Proven success in non-profit fundraising, development, or social enterprise revenue generation with leadership and team management capability.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Google Workspace, MS Office, CRM/donor management systems, digital marketing, and online fundraising.
• Personal Attributes: High level of independence, resilience, cultural sensitivity, and a deep commitment to long-term impact.
• Logistics: Fluency in additional South African languages, valid driver’s licence, and own transport.
