In return, you’ll discover a flexible, supportive work environment with plenty of scope for creativity, a generous and thoughtfully designed benefits package, and the freedom and flexibility of a remote‑first working model that recognises people do their best work when trust, balance and wellbeing come first.
The Role

As Fisheries Project Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving the sustainable management of fisheries, ensuring that seafood sourcing is transparent, traceable and environmentally responsible.

Specifically, you will lead the charge in developing our fisheries conservation policy, advocating for low‑impact practices and working closely with both the UK government and industry stakeholders to promote sustainable fisheries.

You’ll be the voice of sustainable fisheries, ensuring your passion affects others at events, within the media and through forums. Responding to consultations, you’ll provide clear, evidence‑based positions on fishery issues, and lead research projects and pilot initiatives to drive change.
Additional responsibilities
• Collaborate across teams to share expertise and shape organisational strategy.
• Monitor, evaluate and report on projects to ensure impact and accountability.
About You

To be considered as Fisheries Projects Lead, you will need:
• A deep understanding of fisheries management and/or policy in the UK (and ideally beyond)
• Proven experience influencing policy and delivering change in marine conservation
• A natural collaborator who thrives on building partnerships and finding solutions
• Excellent project management skills, with a strategic, organised and results‑focused approach
• A skilled communicator who can make complex issues clear and compelling
• A critical thinker with the ability to research and distil technical information
• A passion for ocean conservation and alignment with our values of integrity, collaboration and positivity
• Resilience, adaptability and comfort working independently as well as in a team
