Job Description

DCA LLC is seeking a Financial Analyst intern for a 3-month engagement in Bethesda, MD. The role involves monitoring capital allocation and analyzing risks in global markets, aimed at individuals looking to manage investments or gain experience. Candidates must be local to the DC metro area, as over 50% of the work is in person. The position offers flexible hours and pays $20-$40 per hour, depending on qualifications.
The Diversified Capital Allocation(DCA) Family Trust is looking for an intern to monitor, estimate capital allocation and analyze risk opportunities in the global markets. We are looking for someone who either wants to learn to manage their own portfolio of investments or wants to gain hands on experience to take to their career. You will work for a private family office, learning everything there is to know about stocks, mutual funds, bonds, loans, debt, options and ETFs. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to the private money world who has only learned the traditional corporate finance taught in most universities.

Work Style
• This is a 3 month engagement so you must be in DC metro area and have a car(license) or access to metro station.
• Hours of the job are centered around the NY Stock exchange market open and close
• More than 50% of the work will be in person.
• Flexible 10 to 20 hours a week.

This position comes in two styles that you may choose from [after you are hired]

Internship

$20-$40 dollars per hour

Qualifications are more stringent for this

Responsibilities
• Analyze current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations on profit enhancement
• Calculate weekly profits of the portfolio using the daily balance sheets
• Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators
• Draw financial insights based on market and economy analysis to bring new stock/option/ETF/currency investment ideas to management

Qualifications
• Rising Senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance

OR at least 3 years of post High School Diploma work experience in relevant industry

OR recent graduate in the last 3 years.
• Basic knowledge of MSFT Excel to do basic math formulas like add, subtract, multiplication, and probability
• Preferred: Someone who has "paper" traded stocks/options/futures
• Preferred: Experience analyzing the absolute loss, acceptable loss, risk:reward of various investments
• Most importantly you must be able to learn quick and keep all processes and family matters confidential and private
