Pella is seeking an organized Events Coordinator for their Durham, NC location. This full-time, on-site role involves planning and executing events to drive in-home sales in the Greensboro area. Responsibilities include event research, vendor coordination, budget management, staffing, and reporting. The ideal candidate should possess strong communication skills, event coordination experience, and a sales-oriented mindset. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend events.

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and self-motivated Events Coordinator to drive in-home sales through strategic event planning and execution for the Greensboro, NC territory. This full-time, on-site position plays a vital role in creating a strong Pella presence in the market, enticing potential customers, and scheduling sales opportunities. The Events Coordinator will operate within a designated budget, focusing on maximizing Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and reducing Cost Per Opportunity (CPO) by effectively managing events across the market.
Work Schedule
• Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Flexibility: Occasional weekend work will be required for event management of which work hours during the week may be adjusted.
Responsibilities
Event Research & Planning:
• * Research and identify local events in Greensboro, Charlotte, and Raleigh.
• Maintain a shared Events Spreadsheet tracker with comprehensive event details.
Vendor Coordination:
• * Gather vendor information, including cost and availability for each event.
• Complete event registrations, confirm all details, and ensure timely communication with logistics, sales, and delivery teams for event preparation.
Budget Management:
• * Work within an approved budget, secure cost approvals, and coordinate timely payment processing through accounting.
Event Staffing:
• * Identify and coordinate event assistants in the market.
• Collaborate with territory sales managers to assign appropriate staff to each event.
Event Execution:
• * Organize a minimum of four events per month, ensuring successful execution to drive in-home sales appointments.
• Manage event setup, execution, and follow-up to meet sales goals.
Salesforce & Reporting:
• * Enter events as Campaigns into Salesforce.
• Track and report monthly opportunities created, providing updates to the Marketing Coordinator and Retail General Manager.
Required skills:
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with vendors, team members, and customers.
• Industry Knowledge: Demonstrate basic construction knowledge and reasoning.
• Independence and Teamwork: Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Event Coordination: Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and implement successful events.
• Sales-Oriented Mindset: Self-motivated professional with the ability to create and execute events that encourage customer engagement and drive sales appointments.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel in the territory assigned.
Incentive structure:
• Appointments will be counted if they are a completed opportunity with a window demo and in-home quote given. Cancelled appointments do not qualify as created opportunities.
• If you successfully schedule 16+ in-home quoted appointments (that are trackable in SalesForce by tagging the proper event as the Campaign Source) then you will receive an additional $1,000 in incentive pay, paid on the 15th of the following month.
• If you successfully schedule 24+ in-home quoted appointments (that are trackable in SalesForce by tagging the proper event as the Campaign Source) then you will receive an additional $1,500 instead of $1,000 in incentive pay, paid on the 15th of the following month.
• A monthly car allowance for travel.
