Position Overview: As an Environmental Services Specialist, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for our patients, visitors, and staff. This position is crucial for infection control and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere throughout our facility.

Key Responsibilities Include:
• Regularly emptying waste baskets and cleaning patient/resident rooms.
• Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, or polishing floors using appropriate tools.
• Ensuring all assigned areas like hallways, restrooms, and lounges meet health standards.
• Utilizing proper protective equipment and maintaining cleanliness of storage areas and cleaning equipment.
• Assisting in laundry tasks as needed.

Physical Requirements: This position involves considerable physical activity, including frequent lifting/moving of 40-50 lbs, using hands and arms extensively, and being on your feet for the majority of your shift.

Work Schedule: The working hours will vary based on patient/resident needs, which may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of housekeeping or professional cleaning experience preferred.
• Familiarity with cleaning materials and equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Prior custodial experience in a healthcare setting is a plus.
